Over the course of several months last year our Creative Director, Patrick Grant visited dozens of villages across the UK to film a new series for Channel 4.
Many made a lasting impression on him, for many different reasons, but mostly for the warmth of the welcome he and the team received from the people living there and the overwhelming sense of happiness that pervaded. Some of these villages are relatively poor yet the people there are made rich and joyful by the friendship and community that surrounds them.
He notes “I took a lot of photographs. Sadly all on my phone. If we do another series a camera will be the first thing on my packing list”.
Over the coming weeks we will post a selection of these pictures, some of which you may recognise from our Instagram. To begin with, the village of Embo, facing the North Sea on the far north east coast of Scotland.
