Made in Britain

We take great pride in our manufacturing. Every product that bears our name is carefully sourced from the world’s best factories.

We make much of what we sell in our own factory in Blackburn, Lancashire. This state-of-the-art facility employs over 50 skilled sewing machinists making outerwear, trousers, jeans, and sports shirts.

The remainder of our products we source predominantly from a network of small mainly family owned mills and manufacturers in the United Kingdom. Our knitwear is made in Scotland and Wales, with some pieces knitted entirely by hand. Ties are made by hand in London, and our formal shirts in Somerset.

Our woollen cloths are predominantly sourced from six exceptional British mills, in Yorkshire, Cumbria and Scotland, each specialist in one type of cloth, namely tweeds, fine worsteds, meltons, mohair, cashmere and boucle tweed.  We also buy hand-woven tweed from three independent weavers on the Isle of Harris and Lewis. We commission all of our silk and wool jacquard cloths for ties from two mills in Sudbury in Suffolk. Technical fabrics and cotton shirt fabrics are sourced from two fine mills in Italy. We place great value on enjoying great relationships with all of our suppliers.
